Tanzania Sicklecell Warriors Organization (TASIWA) reached over 1,000 students at Lukobe Secondary School in Ilemela, Mwanza, with education on Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). The session was warmly received, with many students expressing their commitment to supporting classmates living with SCD, demonstrating a growing understanding of the condition and the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Educating young people about inherited conditions such as SCD is essential to challenging myths and misconceptions, encouraging early genotype testing and informed decisions, and promoting compassionate support for people living with the condition. Through these efforts, TASIWA empowers students to become ambassadors of awareness who help reduce stigma and build more informed and inclusive communities.
