Report misconduct — confidential

Data & accountability

Accurate data, on time, every time.

How we collect, verify and process information so that every figure we report can be trusted.

Why it matters

Good data means no child is missed.

Behind every number in our reports is a child, a parent or a health worker. To make sure those numbers are right, TASIWA uses a data management system that helps us process our information and gives us accurate and timely results.

This lets us know how many children have been screened, insured or linked to care; follow up with families who miss appointments; and give our funders, supervising partners and the government a true picture of progress.

From field to report

Our data journey in five steps

Select a step to see what happens.

Step 1 of 5

Collect — At the source

Information is recorded where the work happens — at screening points, health facilities, caregiver sessions and community visits — by trained staff and Community Health Workers using standard registers and forms.

  • Standard tools for every activity
  • Recorded by trained staff and CHWs
  • Consent obtained before personal details are captured

Our principles

How we treat information

Accuracy

Figures are verified against source records before they are reported.

Timeliness

Our system produces up-to-date reports when partners and decision-makers need them.

Confidentiality

Personal and health information is collected with consent, kept secure and only shared in aggregate.

Transparency

Results are shared openly with donors, supervising partners, government and communities.

Community ownership

Families and CHWs see how their information leads to better services.

Learning

We use the data to improve our work and to share lessons with the wider SCD community.
