TASIWA has promoted access to free Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) screening services at Nasa Health Centre in Busega District, Simiyu Region. This initiative has aimed to increase awareness of the hereditary nature of SCD, encourage early screening, and help individuals and families understand their sickle cell status.
Community members have been encouraged to visit Nasa Health Centre for free sickle cell screening and to share this information with their families, friends, and neighbours. By promoting early screening and accurate health information, TASIWA has continued to support informed decisions, reduce stigma, and improve understanding of SCD in the community.
