TASIWA believes that educating students about Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is essential to building informed, compassionate, and inclusive communities. Through education, students can challenge myths and misconceptions, understand the hereditary nature of SCD, and appreciate the importance of early genotype testing and genetic counselling to support informed reproductive decisions in the future.

Furthermore, this knowledge helps students understand how to support classmates, family members, and other people living with SCD. It also empowers them to become ambassadors of awareness in their schools and communities, helping to reduce stigma and promote respect, inclusion, and equal opportunities for sickle cell warriors.
