Tanzania Sicklecell Warriors Organisation (TASIWA), with support from Fondation Pierre Fabre , conducted an intensive capacity-building training for healthcare providers and community health workers in Geita Region under the KeTan SCD Project.

The training strengthened providers’ competencies in Sickle Cell Disease screening, diagnosis, counseling, standardized treatment protocols, and data management, promoting harmonized and integrated SCD services across KeTan-supported health facilities and improving overall quality of care.

Trained healthcare providers are now encouraged to translate this knowledge into daily clinical practice by strengthening early screening and timely referral, delivering quality counseling to patients and families, ensuring accurate data recording and reporting, and supporting continuity of care for people living with Sickle Cell Disease. Together, we can improve patient outcomes and strengthen SCD care at all levels of the health system.
