Tanzania Sicklecell Warriors Organisation (TASIWA), with support from Fondation Pierre Fabre, successfully conducted an intensive training for healthcare providers and community health workers in Geita Region under the KeTan SCD Project. The training enhanced competencies in screening, diagnostics, counseling, standardized treatment protocols, and data management—ensuring harmonized and integrated SCD services across KeTan-supported health facilities and contributing to improved quality of care and patient outcomes. Healthcare providers trained are now expected to apply the skills gained in daily practice, strengthen early screening and timely referral, provide quality counseling to patients and families, accurately record and report data, and actively support continuity of care for people living with Sickle Cell Disease.
